I get the joke and dont get me wrong I love the new album and all their work but the whole thing just felt a bit low budget especially when compared to Crying Lightning. Perhaps flashes to a more relevant visual representation would have made it more interesting at parts. just thought i would be honest insted of saying what everyone wants to hear.

This signifies a drastic and IMPORTANT shift.
A turning point and an arc for the Arctic’s.

Although seemingly lost and detached from their colloquial routes (Alex leaving Sheffield to pursue his Dearest and Dreariest in a battle of Love over Brooklyn), ruined by mediocrity and prospect of an inferior lazy stadium tour, this video slightly redeems them from such vacuous and shallow features.

It pertains and holds intimacy and heart...
Which, as well all know is vital.

Turner, adopting an aloof sense of being, unfortunately distances himself from us, holds him restrained and dully reserved.

The heir to England’s Last Hope.

Emitting a sense of intrigue, to conjure a veil and hard wall of mystique around himself. Possibly to protect and thicken the spine of himself in someway... Although it’s completely unnecessary.

This video, however slightly hoists Turner back to where his band mates are currently pivoting, and where he rightfully forwarded them. A plain where the music speaks.. Away from their rash, brash and idiotic reasoning and decisioning of moronic tours and mentally-preoccupied concerts, played with glazed look and bored expression.

The video has simple premise.
That of Love.
Unrequited.
Devout.
Simple.

This truthfulness presents itself through Cornerstone.
Is rewarded and evident through, the medium of Turners Red-Knit jumper, the pure expression and way in which he seemingly coo's every syllable to his distanced lover.
It also becomes evident Turner is now confident and a self-believer.

Although, this LOVE, is the reason for a certain mist of negatives currently surrounding, soaking and strangling the Monkeys at this point. Hopefully with the nature and natural progression it shall leave them.

I'll be the last to staple Turners hands and feet to the floor, screaming and stamping on his lovely hair and ample nose…

This is most certainly NOT what I expected.
I like Alex with headphones (cut your hair hon, though), love that vintage thingee. But I thought I would see him hanging around in the Rusty Hook and the Cornerstone a.s.o. with the look-a-like, the sister a.s.o. . I'm kinda disappointed because I really imagined it and saw it in my inner eye.

I did not see this coming at all. It looks like Alex is going to celebrate christmas at his parents in law. I love it though, because I'm beginning to like the wittyness of Arctic Monkeys (like the Crying Lightning video). As Alex himself said in a interview that he thinks it's boring if the video shows exactly what the song is trying to say and that he always want to do an extension of the song or just a completely different thing in the video. I love this one, it's nothing like the song and instead of crying to the emotional lyrics in this song, I am gonna laugh after this. Thank you for this perfect start in the morning.

It's like Arctic Monkeys anticipated people making originial videos on Youtube, and just beat them at their own game.
It's hard to decide what's funnier: the actual video, or how Alex keeps such solemnity while doing it?

Hands down, the smartest video they've made, and it probably worth the cost of the red sweater!

it confuses me.
it's funny but boring at the same time,
and no i didn't expect a lady gaga music video but i kept thinking that something would change but got dissapointed when the song came to and end and all i had seen was alex walking around...

maybe to enjoy this video I need a longer attention span.
