Very good album, ful of warm tones and great mellow effects although i think Jamie could have had a bigger role, maybe Jamie should have used the slide or something and Al could have stuck with the chords.
All in all very well done but please go back to James Ford for 4th Album

Alex ... The first song i heard was Sette for a draw... and I loved your little accent, and the way that you played guitar, and it was so great until this album ... I love it, but, it's not really arctic Monkeys anymore, it's more "last shadow puppets" with matt jaime and andie. It's so dark and a little sad, it looks like an adolescent crisis. Too dark, be happy again please.

I simply fail to understand the criticism leveled against this disk. It is just brilliant. OK, so it is different from the first two, but that does not necessarily means that it is not as good. "Secret Door" is probably the best song they have ever written.

I won't say it's a great album. It's not because of the new sound. I personally don't like your slower stuff, and that's what you've gone to, but I can respect wanting to go that way. My problem is the beats all off. The vocals don't even match the instrumentals in Dangerous Animals. I'm still excited for your guys' concert in DC. Totally going to it. This album just seems forced.
